The Conquest of Mecca took place in 630 CE when Prophet Muhammad, along with a large Muslim army, peacefully conquered the city of Mecca. This event marked the end of hostility between the Muslims and the people of Mecca.

Quranic Reference:

In Surah Al-Fath, Chapter 48, Verses 1-2, Allah says:

Translation: "Indeed, We have given you, [O Muhammad], a clear conquest that Allah may forgive for you what preceded of your sin and what will follow and complete His favor upon you and guide you to a straight path."

Prophet Muhammad, upon entering Mecca, forgave the people and said, "There is no blame on you today. May Allah forgive you." (Ibn Hisham)
